Why Today’s Housing Market Isn’t Headed for a Crash.
today’s housing market isn’t headed for a crash. |
The housing market in Chicago is not headed for a crash, as many experts predicted it would be.
The reason for this is that the market has reached a saturation point. While there are still people who want to buy houses, there are simply not enough houses on the market to match the demand. This means that when someone wants to sell their house, they can get top dollar for it and still have many potential buyers vying for it.
There are also fewer homes being built than there have been in recent years, which means that even if prices did start to drop off or people began defaulting on their mortgages, there wouldn't be enough new houses coming on the market to meet demand.
